Scissors back to life

Posted by Know-How on March 29, 2011 at 4:59 AM Comments comments (0)

Ever experiment tyring to cut something with a scissor, but its not seems not sharp to cut even a sheet of paper?

Sometimes its not because it is loosing its function, its because the scissors were used for cutting too much of masking tape or anything sticky, that's why the sticky element or the glue stuck on the surface of the scissors.

To remove the sticky element, just use small portion of cotton or tissue paper with thinner or olive oil and clean up the scissors.

Removing tea and coffee stain in a mug

Posted by Know-How on March 9, 2011 at 4:38 AM Comments comments (0)

Do you want to remove the tea or coffee stain which is not easy to remove using hot water, cleaning liquid, or any other way you think of?

I have one way to clean it which is worth a try, it can remove about 50% of the stains.

The secret is using a REDOXON!!

Yes, it is! The Vitaman C which every mum asks their kids to drink! The effervescent tablets that can be found at any drug store.

Pour warm water with REDOXON on a stained cup, let it dissolve. The bubble will help remove all the stains.

After that, you decide if you want to drink the REDOXON or not.

Finally, wash with warm water and cleaning liquid, you will see the difference.

Keyboard cleaning

Posted by Know-How on March 2, 2011 at 9:36 PM Comments comments (0)

Ever wanted to clean up the white keys of a keyboard, for example from a mac?

As time goes, the keys become yellow or dark gray?

From my own experience, there's two ways to bring back not the bright white as original, but worth a try.

1- Dilute DETTOL with water, about 1/10 and wipe the keys with tissue paper, a cloth or cotton.

2- Another way is even simpler, find an alcohol prep pad and wipe the keys.

Hope you will find the difference.

To response to one of the question asked at Yahoo Answers below is the steps on how to save (ai) file to (jpeg) in Adobe Illustrator CS4.

Open the (ai) file in Adobe Photoshop and it will launch a screen like this.

Ignore about IMPORT PDF, as I also don't know why it happens. When this screen is opened, set the resolution that you want it to be, in this case I just want it in 72DPI, for high resolution, set it to 300DPI.

If everything is ok, press OK buttom and SAVE AS the image in JPEG.
